A few days ago we came back to my parents home to celebrate Easter day together. It was also the very first Eggs Hunt of our little boy William who is 1 year 1/2. He’s still very young so it wasn’t obviously the craziest eggs hunt party ever, but he really seemed to enjoy it!
We were very lucky because the weather was beautiful so we were able to really enjoy the garden. Youll see in the pics that Spring is still very shy here in Belgium, but the garden looks great anyway. It’s an English garden in which we have so much cherished memories from our childhood. So it was very special for me to see our little one enjoying this moment! He was spoiled with delicious chocolates made by Neuhaus, a great Belgian chocolate maker.
Then we enjoyed a delicious meal that my mother had cooked for us. It was a five course meals that began at noon and finished at 5 PM (I’m not kidding). There was champagne, appetizers, a lamb roast, green beans, potatoes croquettes, French cheeses, and a fabulous cake. But Sorry I don’t have a lot of pictures of it…
My mother also offered me beautiful gingerbread eggs that she bought in Alsace, FR. These are so incredibly beautiful that I was unable to eat them. But they actually last for years so I’ll be able to use them for my Easter decor each year! Don’t you find them so pretty?
They are made by Marketa Macudova, a very talented woman living in Alsace. You can discover her work on www.paindepices.net. I can’t resist to show you here the video of her incredible artwork while decorating these gingerbread cookies:
It was a wonderful day and I felt so blessed to share it with my whole family. I hope your Easter day was wonderful too, and I wish you a very nice day!
