Paris France Place de la Concorde

PPP : Perfect Preppy day in Paris!

It was an ordinary Saturday… in Paris! Yes, a few days ago, we decided to go to Paris because of an exhibition I really wanted to attend to. It was the “Volez Voguez Voyagez” (Fly, Sail, Travel) exhibition at Le Grand Palais.

This exhibition was organised by Louis Vuitton and featured several beautiful antique “malles” from the brand. Sadly, we were not able to attend the exhibition as I planned to. It was its last weekend and we should have done a 4 hours queue. So we changed our minds 🙂 Instead we visited an other exhibition that I had heard of: Wei Wei, at Le Bon Marché.

We began our day with a delicious lunch at Ralph’s, the Ralph Lauren restaurant in Saint-Germain. I really wanted to try it since a long time now. We had the pleasure to go to the Polo Bar during our trip in New York this Autumn so I was quite excited to “confront” the two! I’m thinking about a special post to share our experiences in these two amazing restaurants that we both LOVED. So don’t be frustrated if I don’t show you my pics of the restaurant this time. I’m just keeping the mystery a little longer!

After our lunch we took a nice walk through the City: the Seine, the Louvre and the Tuileries Garden, Place de la Concorde, Champs Elysees… Aaaah, Paris! Let’s take a walk, shall we? And to be completely in the Parisian mood, let’s play this little soundtrack too!

Then we took the Metro to come back to Saint-Germain to see the Wei Wei exhibition at Le Bon Marché. The exhibition was beautiful and so poetic! If you’re in Paris you can see it until 15th March. Highly recommend it! (If you’re curious about it I also posted a few pics of it on Instagram)

Since we were there, we enjoyed a little shopping after that 🙂 At the end of the day we decided to take a drink at the bar of  the brand new Art Déco Hotel du Collectionneur. It was really an enchanting and romantic day in the City of Light! I hope you enjoyed this Parisian brise in your day!

Au revoir et bonne journée à tous!

    1. […] That’s why a lot of us are using faux-flowers. But I had to find another solution because my husband can’t stand faux-flowers. Don’t ask me why. It’s just like that ? So I was searching for another solution… and I found it! It’s called ‘preserved flowers’. I was totally amazed when I discovered this process. They use genuine fresh flowers and immmerge them into a special liquid to preserve them for years. You could never say that they were treated like that. The look and the touch is absolutely equal to the original. But you don’t have the scent. Right. I knew I could deal with it! So I jumped and bought online some preserved white roses to create a simple bouquet for our bedroom (Note: I was inspired by how elegant these simple Ralph Lauren flower arrangements looked like when we went to the Ralph’s).
