Rustic Blue cheese and cured ham potatoes cake

Winter is coming with all its delicious recipes that everyone love to find back year after year : tartiflette, raclette and, all comfort food recipes that scream “freeze” and “snow”. Here is an easy French recipe for a quick lunch or dinner with a rustic feel. The inspiration of this recipe comes from the Aveyron, a beautiful area in the South of France with amazing local products. Discover this blue cheese (I used Roquefort) with cured ham potatoes cake that is as easy and quick to make than to eat!

INGREDIENTS (for 4)
– 4 eggs
– 1 cup of heavy cream
– 4 medium potatoes, cut into small pieces
– 4 slices of cured ham
– blue cheese
– chives, minced

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. In a large pot, bring potatoes to a boil over high in salted water. Cook 15 to 20 minutes. Drain well and transfer potatoes to a skillet. Cook over medium-high, stirring occasionally, until browned (a few minutes). With a slotted spoon, transfer to paper towels to drain.

  2. Transfer roasted potatoes to a cake pan ; sprinkle with blue cheese and cured ham sliced in small pieces.
